Kris Bernal and Perry Choi

Kris Bernal shares another story about her dream wedding with husband Perry Choi and this time, it's about her immaculate blue-colored civil wedding dress.

Aside from the masterpiece wedding couture made by Mak Tumang, which Kris Bernal wore on her special day, there's one more OOTD that left a mark on her.

In another Instagram post, the actress-entrepreneur shared the story of why she wasn't able to wear her blue civil wedding dress, which was inspired by the fairytale princess Cinderella.

According to now Mrs. Choi, they were already planning to have a civil ceremony, after the government announced a new community quarantine protocol (in early September), the government backtracked with its announcement that Metro Manila would be subjected to general community quarantine with alert level system and changed it to modified enhanced community quarantine.

Kris remembered, “Do you recall when it was announced that it was GCQ and then back to MECQ after hours? We were already pushing for a traditional wedding until it was snatched away from us. So, in order to move forward with our wedding, we decided to go with a civil ceremony."

“I immediately called my @beyondwhiteweddings fam and asked if she could produce a civil wedding dress for me in 10 days because I didn't want to burden Mak Tumang with another one. And, voila! The dress was completed on time!” she added.

“Then there was the day when it was announced that we would be placed under GCQ Alert Level 4 status. With a 10% capacity, the Church officially opened its doors for wedding ceremonies,” Kris shared.

The soap opera actress didn't want that this beautiful creation to go to waste and decided to also wear this on her wedding last September 25 at the St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish.

She continued, “We finally (again) pushed for a conventional wedding after much deliberation with our families and relatives. But, I was concerned about this dress not being worn, so I made certain that I would get to wear it on my big day.”

“To my @beyondwhiteweddings fam, @momma.in.heels, @iamjhaylaguinto, thank you so much for all your efforts and hardwork! The dress was breathtaking, and our peg of a Cinderella dress I'd always wanted to wear was spot on!”

Meanwhile, she also gave some trivia about the dress Mak Tumang made for her. He's the same designer, who created the “LAVA” gown of 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray.

“An ensemble that transforms. The GOWN was astounding, the JUMPSUIT remarkable, the OMBRÉ effect was one of a kind. Truly impressive!!” Kris said.

“You're a dream come true, Mak. I am glad I chose you. The guests talked about the gown, the compliments were mind blowing.”
